The UI & UX of the wallet is very bad

In this Abra wallet review, we take a look at the Abra crypto banking wallet. Abra has a vision of an open global financial system that is accessible for everyone. They do this by letting users use the potential of their crypto assets. With the possibility to earn interest, buy, sell, hold, and trade in many cryptocurrencies, in one single wallet app.

Design

So upon opening the Abra wallet for the first time you will have to register with a name, email address, and phone number. This is a bit unexpected as it is said to be a non-custodial wallet. But this gets more clear as the wallet needs some of the user’s info because of its crypto trading functions. Within the wallet app, you find a purple-styled menu on both the top and bottom. These menus guide the users to all the functions that Abra wallet offers. You can find features within the app like, Earning interest, borrowing, trading, and price alerts.

Because of the many features and currencies within the app, that are located on the opening tab. It may be a bit chaotic to first-time users as it is very distracting. Having this many features pushed to the front may be ideal for some crypto traders. However, for a simple user that wants to send and receive crypto, it may look like a maze of bells and whistles.

Features

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) Abra offers the following.

  • Earning interest on your crypto
  • Crypto trading
  • An Abra wallet ID giving you access to their services

Improvements

Like every other Wallet out there, the Abra wallet has flaws and missing things. The flaws that we point out are of course based on our personal opinion and we would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.

The Abra wallet looks to us like it can be a great wallet to use on a daily basis for more experienced users. However, for new users, the Abra wallet can look a bit scary. Because of the messiness in its in-app design. It thus would be great to see an improvement on this. By putting the many functions of the wallet more in the back. Or on different tabs so that the simple new user can get a feel of the wallet before being confronted with all the bells and whistles of crypto trading, etc.

Conclusion

The Abra wallet is a good wallet for traders and people who would like to earn some interest on their crypto and stable coins. Because of its many accessible functions, it can be a great asset for some. Besides that Abra wallet could use some improvements on its UX & UI side to make it easier for newcomers to start using their wallet. So to conclude this review we rated Abra wallet a decent 3.6 out of 5 stars.

We hope you enjoyed our Abra Wallet review. In case you do not agree with our opinion? You can write your own Abra wallet review here! And also check out what other people think about Abra wallet.

Extra note: So as always check the date of this review to see if it is relevant. Wallets can add new functions and change designs to improve their product so a bad review now won’t mean they can’t be great in the future.
