In this Bitcoin Beach wallet review, we take a look at the Bitcoin Beach lightning (mobile) wallet. The Galoy Bitcoin Beach wallet is a very starter-friendly Bitcoin Lightning wallet that’s great for beginners. Because of its learn & earn mode that pays beginners to learn more about Bitcoin.
Design
So the Bitcoin Beach wallet has a very playful design style, colored (Bitcoin) orange and blue. The wallet is super easily accessible and is backed up/connected to the user’s phone number. Opening up, the app is very easy to navigate as it only has 4 easy to understand tabs. On the first tab, we find the functions for sending and receiving. All of the transactions are dominated by either USD or Satoshi’s because the wallet only uses the Bitcoin lightning network. On the other tabs, we find a contract list, a map of the places that accept lightning payments, and an earn section.
Earn & Learn
On the Earn tab, you will find several lessons teaching users about Bitcoin and money in general. This is all done in a nice a very playful way, making it fun for new and existing Bitcoin users. Going through the lessons users will be paid out small amounts of Sats. This is not only a nice way to stack some Sats but also great for newcomers to learn how to use Bitcoin without buying into it first.

When It comes to extra features (besides sending and receiving crypto) Bitcoin Beach offers the following.

Improvements
Like every other Wallet out there, the Bitcoin Beach wallet has flaws and missing things. The flaws that we point out are of course based on our personal opinion and we would like to point out that they don’t always have to be a hindrance to anyone.
The Bitcoin Beach wallet looks to us like a great wallet for newbies to Bitcoin. Because of its great UI and the current functions, there is not that much that we think could be improved for now. Although the contact page could be upgraded in a way that would make more sense. Or perhaps with more pre-listed contact so that the page is not that empty. Besides that, it would be very nice to see a small list of places where users could spend their Sats online as well besides the local places on the map tab.
Conclusion
The Bitcoin Beach wallet is a great wallet for starters that gives them everything they need. From knowledge, Free Sats, to a place where they can spend their Sats. With Bitcoin Beach, wallet users are prepared for the future of money. We do hope that this wallet stays updated as the Bitcoin network and its adoption grows over time. Because Bitcoin Beach wallet helps with the adoption of Bitcoin and spreading knowledge about it, we believe that they will do so.
